The Mallala Chemist Shop was built and managed by pharmacist Mr. Chidley in the 1960s.  Prior to this, the practising doctors at Mallala ordered, stored and dispensed the required medications.

Mr Fred Smith ran the pharmacy for many years in conjunction with the shops at Two Wells and Hamley Bridge.
